Whom Shall I Fear

What a month it has been.

With all the joys and delights that come with Christmas and holidays, there have been plenty of sorrows and strife along with it.  I can easily say this has been one of the most stressful times in my life.  God has proven Himself faithful again and again and again.  Over and over He has snatched me from the brink of despair to show me so personally how great and powerful and tender are His good and perfect plans.

As I got up this morning and was moving around the kitchen, I was profoundly aware of the icy fear that was still trying to cling to my heart.  A song was playing from our living room that brought me to tears instantly.  I won't write out all of the words here (although they all ministered to me greatly).  These words are what were so soothing to my soul~

I know who goes before me,
I know who stands behind.
The God of angel armies is always by my side.
The One who reigns forever,
He is a friend of mine.
The God of angel armies is always by my side.

And nothing formed against me will stand,
You hold the whole world in your hand.
I'm holding on the your promises
You are faithful
You are faithful

It struck me this morning that just as you can't know exactly what struggles I am going through, I will never completely know what you are going through.  But praise the Lord we all have the opportunity to cling to the same promises when we know Christ as our Savior.  I know who goes before me.  I know who stands behind.  Whom shall I fear?
